Women's Program

Because women often experience unique challenges, crisis situations, and/or difficult traumas during their lives, the Women's Program is designed to meet their specific needs.

Individual issues are unique. Windmoor Healthcare staff teach women to develop the effective coping skills while promoting the development of a healthy lifestyle. Therapeutic groups include:
 
  Trauma Recovery
  Women's Issues
  Self-Esteem
  Healthy Eating
  Coping Skills
  Processing Feelings
 
Those who participate in the Women's Program may be experiencing the following:
 
  Depression
  Anger
  Mood Disorders
  Phobias
  Anxiety
  Panic Disorders
  Co-Dependency
  Compulsions
  Sleep Disorders
  Eating Disorders
  Dysfunctional Relationships
  Dissociation and History of Abuse
  Self Medication with Drugs, Alcohol, Food and/or Sex
  Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
 
The program offers a safe, therapeutic atmosphere which empowers women to make positive changes and encourages them to grow and gain insight.

NOTE:  Windmoor Healthcare is a designated Baker Act
receiving facility under the Florida Mental Health Law.
